Week 2

Week 2 of the internship class, and there is no slowing down here! I have written my cover letter and resume, but still have to create my online resume. It shouldn’t take too long to accomplish. I feel proud that I was able to get these things done within the time allotted, and am happy to see that my time management skills are working. I inquired with my job as to doing my internship through them. I thought it would be a good idea, I would work my normal 40 hour job but be able to get internship hours at the same time! Unfortunately I was told they declined to move forward with the internship and failed to give me a reason why. This made me really upset because I thought it had been a good idea. Thankfully I have two projects that I can work on already. One is for a friend who runs a small business using Etsy and social media. She is ready to expand her business and create a website for it. She creates and sells crochet projects so I think it sounds like a lot of fun. The other is for the Chamber of Commerce of Beaver Dam, they are hosting a class reunion for the class of ’76 and want me to make a page for the event. I am happy I have these oppertunities moving forward. Heres to another week!
