An Adventure in Creating Hooks that Express Your Passions
There was once a young girl who dreamed of being a Claymation artist… That’s really where it started- summers spent with packs and packs of oil-based clay as a kid, sitting and sculpting all kinds of creatures for hours on end (after watching tons of stop-motion films like “Chicken Run” and “A Nightmare Before Christmas”) After years of taking pottery and ceramics classes and expanding my sculpting skills, I was always eager to challenge myself with new types of clay and different mediums. Enter a new hobby called crochet… Creating with clay is easily one of my first and longest-running art passions. Since crochet is kind of like sculpting things with yarn, it only makes sense that I would eventually combine those passions to create hand-sculpted crochet hooks that were equal parts fun and nerdy. And thus, a brand-new adventure within the realm of crochet was born…
