Learning Plan 10 Part 4 Scoring Guide

Best Practices
General & Security

Backup
Make backups of your website.  A backup ensures that you can restore to a safe point of your website should an upgrade or update goes wrong
Extensions
Use trusted 3rd party extensions and templates. Templates and extensions from non-reputable sources could have a higher risk for vulnerabilities.
SEO
Joomla does not have perfect URLs for SEO. However, you can change a setting in the global options that clean up the URL to be more SEO friendly. You can also look for 3rd party SEO extensions to help clean up the URLs.
Remove Extensions
Remove any unwanted or not needed extensions. Having too many extensions can create clutter and potential security risks due to outdated extensions.
Gzip Compression
Enabling Gzip asks your server to compress your website files before sending them to the receiver. This will cause your website load times to be faster.
